Happy Birthday Natalie!

Thank you for helping me celebrate my birthday by supporting JDRF!

I am celebrating a milestone birthday this year, and in honor of that, I am asking you to donate to an organization that is very important to me.

My son Lance was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes (T1D) on Mother’s Day in 2016, while attending college in Reno. I immediately began researching the best way to help him and found JDRF. I now serve on the chapter board as the Advocacy Chair, making sure that people with T1D are included in government policies and represented in federal funding for disease research.

1.6 million Americans live with T1D, and my son Lance is just one of them. JDRF is funding research to deliver new devices and therapies that make day-to-day life with T1D easier, safer and healthier until we can ultimately find cures and prevent this disease.

JDRF exists so T1D won’t.

Families and organizations across Nevada are currently donating to JDRF and their Vision of Hope for a world without type 1 diabetes. I am thankful for this opportunity to share my birthday as a way to bring awareness and support to JDRF and families affected by T1D.
