2016 JDRF Hope Gala Honoree
Cari Marshall
Cari Marshall was born and raised in our wonderful city of Las Vegas, a true native. She grew up in the family business of Marshall-Rousso where she worked and witnessed the American dream, her parents being first generation Americans, creating amazing opportunities for their family while she and Todd were raised with the ideals that making a contribution to the world and giving back was a privilege and a necessity.
Cari has been and is active in the community for many years while having served on the Jewish Federation Executive committee and currently serves on the executive board of the ADL Las Vegas office. She is a philanthropist and activist for other causes, one being close to her heart, Crohn’s Disease and Inflammatory Bowel Disease that her daughter Dana 26, deals with. They have recently made an award winning important documentary on the subject, Semicolon; The Adventures of Ostomy Girl, shown at numerous film festivals throughout the country. They believe that through sharing their story they will be able to raise awareness and hopefully, help the lives of so many who suffer from IBD.
She is a life coach with emphasis on helping people get in touch with their individual spirituality thus, choosing more possibilities to live a joyful, happy life in alignment with their values. She believes that life is about experiences, and how we respond to them and learn from them creates empowering opportunity toward growth and bettering our lives.
Cari feels blessed and fortunate to have been given the opportunity of having amazing parents and role models, Jayn and Art Marshall, who have shown her and her brother Todd the importance and responsibility of giving back and making the world a better place…through love and gratitude.
